Bordered by Rwanda, Tanzania, and the Congo, with Lake Tanganyika along its southwestern border, Burundi is a landlocked country in the African Great Lakes region. Its capital city is Gitega. However, Bujumbura was the capital of Burundi until very recently and is the location of the country’s only international airport, the Bujumbura International Airport. Ethiopian Air, Kenya Airways, Air France, and RwandAir are some of the airline choices for flights to Burundi from London. Bujumbura’s Lake Tanganyika beaches are some of the top attractions in the country, while many also book flights to Burundi from London to visit the Chutes de la Karera, Parc National de la Rusizi, La Pierre de Livingstone et Stanley, and Source du Nil.
